We are pleased to announce Dr. Joseph Romm, a leading expert on climate solutions and clean energy - and on communicating about these issues to the public - as our 2024 Summit Morning Keynote.

Dr. Romm holds a Ph.D. in physics from MIT and has authored countless articles and books in the areas of climate change, clean energy, and communications. Romm has worked on climate solutions at the U.S. Department of Energy and helped to run the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, ultimately serving as Acting Assistant Secretary, where he oversaw $1 billion in R&D and demonstration of low-carbon technologies.

Dr. Romm was named TIME magazine “Hero of the Environment” and has authored 10 books, including "Climate Change: What Everyone Needs to Know" (Oxford University Press) which New York magazine called "The best single source primer on the state of climate change."

Dr. Romm is currently Senior Research Fellow with the University of Pennsylvania, Center for Science, Sustainability & the Media.
